Among the Blue Line's 14 stations, one stands out architecturally: Dubai Creek Harbour station, designed to become the tallest metro station in the world at 74 metres. The design comes from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the same architectural firm behind Burj Khalifa.

Why Height Matters Here

Dubai Creek Harbour is planned around a dramatic vertical skyline, and a station of this scale is meant to match the ambition of the district around it rather than sit as a purely functional transit stop. The station also serves as an interchange with the Green Line at Creek Station, linking the new waterfront district directly into Dubai's established metro network.

A Journey of Minutes, Not Hours

Once open, the Blue Line is expected to connect Dubai Creek Harbour to Academic City in around 25 minutes, turning what is currently a road-dependent commute into a fast, direct rail journey, a meaningful factor for residents and businesses weighing whether to commit to the area early.
