The Dubai Metro Blue Line is the RTA's newest metro line, approved in November 2023 and now under construction, adding a fifth line to Dubai's rail network and connecting parts of the city that have never had direct metro access before.

The Route

The Blue Line runs roughly 30 kilometres between Dubai Academic City and Dubai Creek, with a branch reaching Centrepoint. The line is split into a 15.5 km underground section with 5 stations and a 14.5 km elevated section with 9 stations, for 14 stations in total, including three interchange stations. A Y-junction at International City 1 lets trains reach either terminus without requiring passengers to change lines.

Areas It Serves

The route passes through Dubai Silicon Oasis, International City, Mirdif, Al Warqa, and Dubai Creek Harbour, connecting established residential communities and a fast-growing waterfront district that previously relied entirely on road access. At Creek Station the line connects to the Green Line, and at Centrepoint it connects to the Red Line, tying the new route directly into the existing metro network.
